If you are one of the few who used to read my blogsite on WordPress over the past few years, I have news for you. That site has been shut down as of yesterday, April 27, 2024. I set up that site on May 3, 2010, while I was living in Winston-Salem, NC, as a means of putting down in some coherent order my thoughts on writing; on science, both physical and biological; on science fiction; and on the environment, all topics that interest me a lot. Yesterday I took the final and long overdue step and deleted it from the WordPress blogosphere. It will not be resurrected. It was quite a momentous occasion for me, and not something I did without a considerable amount of forethought. It had been several months coming because this website has been active since last fall, and the duplication of blog posts and web pages wasn’t necessary. But still, it represented almost 14 years of commentary, not lightly taken by any means.
Everything I commented on has been transferred to this website, so nothing was lost, and I have begun to post herein on a quasi-regular basis. (Usually every other week.) This website has allowed me to do more than I could have on my blogsite, and I hope anyone who visits gets something out of it, whether from the commentary, the various pages, the images, or the books that can be purchased through a bookstore (coming). My intent has always been to offer something of value to anyone who stops by, and if you have any comments on anything in particular, don’t hesitate to make yourself known.
